Political Division Director
Appointed by the Executive Chairperson, with approval of Stark LP Executive Committee
The Political Director coordinates the day to day operations of the Political Division. The Political Director will manage teams that are focused on candidate and campaign support, lobbying, providing libertarian input to the court system, offering opinions on County and Local ballot initiatives, and strategic planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Registered voter of Ohio
- Member or supporter of the LPO (if not currently a member, must become so at earliest opportunity)
- Member of the national LP
- Background in politics
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Assertive team builder and member
- Able to assist in tactical planning to achieve short and long term goals
- Reliable and frequent Internet access
- Cell phone
Additional Qualifications:
- Degree in political science, marketing, or communication
- Background in project or program management
- Previous experience with helping to build an organization
- Previous experience with sales, promotions, and marketing
- Previous experience with a political campaign
- Previous experience as an elected public official
This is a volunteer position with the Stark County Libertarian Party.
