Canton, OH - November 17, 2010– The Stark County Libertarian Party and the Stark County Hunger Task Force are pleased to announce a new partnership to help fight hunger in Stark County. The First Annual “Helping Those in Need” food drive and fundraiser will run from November 19th till December 19th. All donations are appreciated, either monetary or non-perishable food items. Each $1.00 that is donated will buy 7 pounds of food to be distributed to Stark County families in need. Monetary donations can be made by going to http://starklp.org/index.php/support-us/donate-to-the-stark-lp/helping-those-in-need-donations, or mailed to Stark County Libertarian Party, 3541 Duplain St NW, North Canton OH, 44720. Please specify on the envelope or check “Helping Those in Need”.

Since 1981, the Stark County Hunger Task Force (SCHTF) at 408 9th St. SW, Canton, has led the battle against hunger in Stark County. SCHTF feeds more than 15,000 families and individuals every month through some 24 food pantries and conducts a “Backpacks for Kids” program, an emergency pantry and senior pantry services.
